GDrive Is Live

The long rumored “GDrive”, an online storage solution provided by Google is finally a reality. In a post today on the Official Google Docs Blog, Product Manager Vijay Bangaru announced that you’ll soon be able to upload any file up to 250MB to Google Docs, with 1GB of storage free. Additional storage will cost $0.25/GB per year.

This will be a great solution to backup and access files anywhere, but I’d really love if Google introduced a desktop application that made syncing specific files and folders easy. Also the 1GB limit is extremely low, can’t I allocate some of my 7.4GB of Gmail storage for backup?
