The great story behind how Jim Bankoff left AOL to build up SB Nation which eventually turned into Vox Media. They went on to hire away Engadget editor Joshua Topolsky and most of his staff to build The Verge which I believe is not only the best gadget/tech publication online right now, but also a glimpse at the future of online publishing.

De Lorenzo’s Tomato Pies might make one of the best pizzas in the country. After 65 years, the Trenton landmark plans to close. A newer location opened a few years ago will continue to pump out pies, but there’s something about the charm of the original location that I’m going to miss.
